Irie and Riddim are two very different half of the same whole. They complete each other in such a way that not many people who don't know them would really be able to understand.

Riddim is a rebellious ball of free energy. Like a juggernaut, once he gets going and starts picking up momentum, there is no force that can stop him. Sprightly in nature, Riddim can be quite the prankster and does often seem to be smiling at some unyielding joke. He is extremely outgoing and loves to laugh; nothing ever seems to embarrass him. With all his pranks and overwhelming personality, Riddim hardly ever realizes when he's crossed a line.

Irie is like the calm river at the end of Riddim's raging rapids, the soothing rainbow after the storm. Irie is far more level-headed compared to her rambunctious twin brother, but at the same time she is a force to be reckoned with. Irie initially comes off as soft spoken, but when the times comes, she's not afraid to put her foot down. She's normally following right behind her brother's onslaughts and close enough to pull him back down to earth when he gets too 'out of this world.' She's probably about the only person he listens to without question or backtalk, assumingly because she is so similar to their mother when it comes to her calm demeanor and witty comments.

--Strengths: Riddim excels in offensive spells and is surprisingly diverse in his knowledge of how to disarm and incapacitate. Irie on the other hand, is more adept when it comes to buffering spells, curses and hexes, but her true passion is potions.
--Weaknesses: Riddim's few attempts to hex others have each ended in backfiring failure--his and his sister's hair color being a prime example--and he wouldn't dare try something that he'd mixed in a frying pan, let alone a cauldron, the results of either could be rather...dire. Irie doesn't do so well when it comes to spells outside of her comfort level, whether offensive or defensive. She can never control the amount of energy that the spell puts out which results in spells that are either too powerful or not very effective at all.

--History:

Irie and Riddim were born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. Their father is a pureblood wizard and their mother a full-blooded human, but the local voudon priestess for her community. From childhood, Riddim and Irie have always admired their parents. Riddim idolized his father, Khulu, who has made himself to be a rather successful Auror, which has given Riddim the high hopes of following in his father's footsteps. Irie, on the other hand, is a near exact replica of her mother, Azelya, and has spent many of her younger years learning the way of voodoo.

In neither the muggle or wizard worlds have both of the twins really ever fit in without at least some trepidation. In the world of muggles, where their mixed heritage isn't really known and far from understood; the family is practically feared due to their mother's occupation. Her practices are kept far from secret and for a price she's more than willing to hex an annoying neighbor or aggravating work associate or even more so, those who bother her children.

The twins were more than excited when they received their invitation to Hogwarts. While Riddim has dreams of becoming an Auror, Irie wishes to one day become a teacher where she can enlighten students as her teachers have enlightened her. The two do their best in school and are as active as they can manage, but from time to time, Riddim's idea of fun and Irie's sharp tongue tend to be the only things holding them back.
